Jake + Erica’s Wedding at The Stables at the Rio Grande, Creede
A Beautiful Day, A Beautiful Story
It’s not every day you get to witness a love story that starts with a little online spark and blooms into something as stunning as Jake and Erica’s. Their wedding day at the Stables at the Rio Grande in Creede, Colorado, wasn’t just about the vows, the smiles—it was about their journey and the people who’ve supported them along the way.
When Jake and Erica first met online, they were both traveling and happened to be within striking distance of each other. Despite the six-hour distance, they decided to try a long-distance relationship. A year and a half later, they made Colorado Springs their home, and the rest is history.
Their wedding was set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Creede mountains—an area they love and where they share a passion for hunting. The ceremony took place with family and friends, and the weather cleared up just in time for their vows.
Erica’s gown was radiant, and her self-arranged flowers added a personal touch. The evening was filled with delicious food from the Creede Hotel and upbeat tunes from DJ Melissa. For their first dance, they chose "Broken In" by Ella Langley—a song that perfectly matched the effortless, easygoing nature of their relationship.
A standout moment for Erica was when Jake drove six hours to cook elk tenderloin under the stars on their first date. As she said, “It was absolutely perfect.”
