A Love Story in the Mountains: Skylar & Angelo

June 7, 2025 | Creede, CO

Skylar and Angelo tied the knot in Creede, Colorado on June 7th, surrounded by family, friends, and mountain views that couldn’t have been more perfect. The day started at Blue Creek Lodge, a special family-owned spot where Skylar and her girls got ready. Just down the road, the Neilds' ranch provided a stunning setting for the ceremony and reception—land that holds a lot of meaning for Skylar’s family and now, even more memories.

These two have known each other since high school, but things didn’t really start until 2019, when Skylar commented on a photo of Angelo and his puppy. One message led to a movie date, some swimming, and a pretty great first impression (thanks, puppy). The rest is history.

They each knew early on that this was something real. Skylar saw it in the way Angelo connected with her dad—and how he showed up for her during a tough time. Angelo knew when he asked her to move across the state with him after six months, and she said yes without thinking twice.

The proposal came on Christmas, with a handmade “Adventure Book” inspired by Up, filled with photos from their relationship. On the last page, labeled “Our Engagement Photo,” Skylar looked up to find Angelo down on one knee.

The wedding itself was full of personal touches. Hair and makeup were done by Skylar’s mom, Hilarie Moore. Her dress came from Something New Boutique, flowers by Accents on Main, and the cake was by Cakes by Kindra. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Angelo’s parents the night before, and the whole weekend had that close-knit, family-filled vibe.

They chose June because both of their birthdays are in the same month, and now it's got one more reason to celebrate. Their first dance was to “What’s Mine is Yours” by Kane Brown—a perfect pick for a couple that’s clearly all in.

This day was easy to photograph. Real love, a little mountain magic, and two people who couldn’t wait to start forever together.
