Neeley + Breven | Love at Sunnyside Chapel
Neeley and Breven said “I do” on June 14th in the beautiful mountain town of Creede, Colorado. With blue skies overhead and the San Juans all around, they were married outside the sweet and scenic Sunnyside Chapel, then celebrated the night away at the Elks Lodge at Mountain Views RV Park. It was one of those rare days where everything just worked—perfect weather, beautiful locations, and a whole lot of love.
These two first met in college, thanks to a shared tutoring session and a little push from mutual friends. What started as late-night study sessions turned into a solid friendship, and then something more. After spending the summer apart after their freshman year, talking every day and texting constantly, it was pretty clear they were more than just study buddies.
Their proposal story is one for the books—literally, for the Jumbotron. Neeley once told Breven she saw someone propose on the football field and thought it was the coolest thing. Years later, on November 11, 2024, he made that exact idea a reality. She thought she was headed to a girls' night and helping a friend with an “extra credit” photo assignment (college life), but when they walked onto the football field, there was Breven—dressed up and waiting at the 50-yard line. With coaches, friends, and coworkers watching from the stands, he popped the question right there.
Their wedding day in Creede was full of personal touches and the kind of family effort that makes a day extra meaningful. Neeley's cake and catering were lovingly made by her family—Toni, Aunt Cynthia, and Nicki pulled it all together beautifully. Flowers and decor were a true group effort between Neeley, her mom, friends, and family. She found her dress at Elevated Bridal in Tyler, Texas, did her own hair, and had her bridesmaid Hailey take care of makeup. Everyone showed up, pitched in, and made the day feel completely theirs.
The date and location were chosen with intention. Neeley grew up visiting nearby South Fork and Lake City and had always dreamed of getting married in the little chapel they found in Creede. June felt like the perfect time to bring friends and family to Colorado—and it really was.
Their first dance was to “Lucky” by David Payne, and that title pretty much sums it up. A lucky-in-love kind of day, with the kind of joy that’s easy to photograph and even easier to feel.
