Izzy and Luke’s love story came to life on October 5, 2024, when they exchanged vows at the picturesque Sunnyside Chapel. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple celebrated their special day with laughter, joy, and an abundance of love, marking the beginning of their forever together.
The day was simple yet so beautiful.
Their story began at Tommyknocker Tavern, where they first met. While it wasn’t love at first sight, there was an undeniable spark. For Izzy, though, she knew right away on their first date that Luke was the one. Luke’s moment of realization came a little later, when he saw Izzy working his family’s cows. It was then that he knew she was the perfect match for him.
When it came time to propose, Luke knew he wanted something special and personal. On a horseback ride to check on the cows at the Rock Creek Permit, he surprised Izzy with a picnic and a bottle of wine. Surrounded by the stunning fall landscape, he asked her to marry him, and she said yes.
Their wedding day unfolded beautifully, beginning with the ceremony at Sunnyside Chapel. After they were pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds were ushered from the chapel to the reception at the Elk Lodge in style—by horse-drawn carriage. As they made their way through the town, the sound of hooves on the road added to the magic of the day, and guests watched as the couple made their grand arrival.
At the reception, Luke and Izzy were surrounded by family and friends, sharing in the joy of the moment. The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and plenty of memories made. Izzy looked stunning in her dress from Impressed by the Dress, while the beautiful flowers by Almost Home added the perfect touch to the celebration. The cake from Sophy’s Sweets was delicious, and Maya Dangaran worked her magic on Izzy’s hair and makeup, making her feel radiant all day long.
For their first dance, the couple chose “When You Say Nothing at All” by Keith Whitley—a song that perfectly captured their quiet connection and deep love for each other.
