Carrie + Michael Say “I Do” at The Hayloft in Creede, Colorado
September 6th was one of those perfect fall days in the mountains; crisp air, the leaves just starting to change, and a light rain that made everything feel calm and fresh. The skies cleared just in time for Carrie and Michael’s outdoor ceremony at The Hayloft in Creede, and the timing couldn’t have been more beautiful. Family and friends gathered under wide Colorado skies surrounded by mountains and laughter. Carrie walked down the aisle looking absolutely radiant, her bouquet full of fall tones that perfectly matched the season. When Michael saw her, his smile said everything, that moment was pure magic.
Their ceremony was simple, heartfelt, and full of joy. You could feel the love in every glance and every laugh. As the couple exchanged vows, the clouds drifted away, and sunlight poured through, the most peaceful kind of blessing.
Afterward, everyone gathered inside The Hayloft to celebrate, share stories, and enjoy a cozy fall evening together. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of warmth just the way Carrie and Michael wanted it.
Carrie and Michael’s story began on a chilly September evening at Spare Keg in Alamosa. Carrie wasn’t sure about this stranger just yet, but Michael already had a feeling she might be the one. Their connection only grew stronger over time, leading to a proposal in New York City on top of the Empire State Building on January 25, 2025. Despite the cold, Michael convinced Carrie to take one more walk around the observation deck and that’s when he dropped to one knee.
When asked what they love most about each other, Michael says it’s how he can always be himself around Carrie and that she feels like home. Carrie loves that Michael can be serious and funny at the same time, and how he never judges her snack choices. Their first dance song, “I Wanna Grow Old With You,” was the perfect soundtrack to their day.
They chose September for their wedding month because it’s when they first met, and Creede was a special place for them to celebrate from Jeep trails with packed coolers to dinners downtown and ice cream at the theater. At home, they share life with two dogs and a cat who thinks she’s a dog, a little chaotic, but full of love, just like their marriage.
